Mother, Mom, Mommy, Mama, Nanay. Whatever you call the
most precious woman in the world, she's the one you're thinking of. From what I
have heard from various mothers, being a mother to her child or children is the
most difficult yet fulfilling job a woman can ever have. Mothers carry their
child for nine months. Amidst the pain and struggle of carrying a child inside
of them, they never gave up, which is why we are all here today.
Childhood is the hardest part of taking care of your child, my mother says, because children don't have minds of their own yet and are unaware of the things they do, whether it's something good or something bad. Mothers sacrifice a lot for their family, their children. They sacrifice their freedom to take care of and provide for a newborn baby. And so we celebrate Mother's Day. Every second Sunday in May, we honor our mothers for their sacrifices and the love they have shown us throughout our lives. It's the day we make them feel special and reciprocate all they've given us by simply doing the simplest things, like handing out thank you cards or saying we love them and thanking them for existing. Although it takes two to create a person, mothers are usually the ones we spend our childhood with because the father may have to go to work to provide for our needs.
The special bond that is created between a child and their mother will forever be and remain special. This is because as we grow old, we recognize their sacrifices and hardships they had to go through just to give us the life we have now. As the saying goes, mother love is true love. They are our best teacher, our best hero, and our most special person. Without them, we are not here. Therefore, at least on a day like Mother's Day, we should express our love and gratitude to them, because to them, even the smallest things can be the greatest thing in the world.
