Tender Loving Day: Valentine's Day

    The world “love” can have a variety of related distinct meanings in different contexts. There are numerous meanings of what love truly means. According to the dictionary, “it is an intense feeling of deep affection.” In my own opinion, I think love is difficult to share with someone you don’t have enough trust with or you don’t think trust you as well like a true friend. When mentioning the word love, most people will probably think of the romantic love that is shared between two lovers, the case with this word is also the case to “Valentine’s Day.”

    Whenever Valentine’s Day comes close, you will often see people, especially those who don’t have a special someone at the moment that posts on social media, share jokes about finding a partner to celebrate it with. According to what I have been seeing on social media, some singles often crave more of wanting to be in a relationship during Valentine’s Day because couples have scattered around them that made them want to have the same relationship or feeling. However, love on Valentine’s Day isn’t all about the romantic one, we can also celebrate the love of friendship and our love for our family. One common thing here in the Philippines is that when this day comes, students give gifts to their teachers. This is to express our deep gratitude towards them for all the things that they have taught us all throughout the school year. That gratitude is somehow the love that we feel towards our subject teachers and advisers that became our second parent inside the school.

    On this day, we can also celebrate the months or years of friendship that we have shared with that one particular someone or friend group that may have a special place in your heart. Friends gather together to go out to café’s or famous restaurants and create more meaningful moments together. For some of us, true friends are considered as a family because of how deep the bond between each other has been and love between families is one of the true love that I consider. Friends whom we see as a family are obviously not blood- related to you but you still consider them as one. With that strong sister or brother-like relationship, just think about your real family. If we celebrate Valentine’s Day with our friends then we can for sure spend the same day with our family.  With just a simple Valentine’s card, we can see that our parents feel thankful because we put out extra effort just to make a simple card for them considering how technology has advanced these days. The smile on their faces once you have given them the card is on another level of love that only our parents can give wholeheartedly.

    With the different forms of love that each human being can think of, even if you are not a vocal person about your feelings. You can always express it on the day of love or what we all know as Valentine’s Day. May it be to your girlfriend or boyfriend, friends, family, or relatives, celebrating how you love someone and often tell them how much they mean to you will also mean so much to them because they will know that you treat them like someone you can trust your love, with no hate and judgment.

       Mother, Mom, Mommy, Mama, Nanay. Whatever you call the most precious woman in the world, she's the one you're thinking of. From what I have heard from various mothers, being a mother to her child or children is the most difficult yet fulfilling job a woman can ever have. Mothers carry their child for nine months. All-Out Me

     The words all-out are what I believe describes myself the most. When I want, like, or love something or someone, I give all of me for them. Some may disagree but it’s my life so I do what I want.      Just like when I am interested in a group or band called IZ*ONE, I go all the way to show how much I love them and support them in their album sales and nominations. I saved all of my allowance in school just to buy their first full album, which became a record-breaking comeback selling over 500,000 albums and I am so proud to be one of it. When they come back with new songs and albums, I stream their music videos day and night. And when it comes to their music show wins, I try to spread the ways on how to vote for them on my social media accounts.
