After almost 9 months of blog writing and the start of classes, it is now the final reflection for the 4th quarter of the 2020-2021 school year. Over the course of the school year, there have been numerous struggles that I am sure not only I have experienced, but other students as well. Since we have been using a new system for learning this school year, things do not always go as planned.
There were many times when submissions of outputs were delayed due to the prolonging of lockdowns in Vigan City and other parts of the province. This made it impossible for parents and guardians to go to school and submit our outputs. And when it was finally time to submit the answer sheets, sometimes our outputs were not forwarded to the subject adviser even though we had already submitted them. This is just one of the struggles I experienced. Another is meeting deadlines. In the last modules of this quarter, LAS, which were issued to us, was compiling. Modules and tasks after another, there was no time to rest in my opinion. But it's not just the students who are struggling, the teachers are too and I have to acknowledge their hardships as well. In our ICT subject this quarter, I have learned how to create HTML files, sitemaps, and basic information about MS FrontPage. I was also able to discover new information about different events and festivals in the country and Vigan as I researched for my blogs. There were many interesting facts about the Binatbatan Festival, which amazed me. For example, how the residents prayed together to Apo Lakay to stop the constant rise of the epidemic.
Moving on, although there were numerous struggles, I only listed two because I somehow learned something from everything despite the hardships. This current self-learning system is complete for this school year, but I can't say I like it compared to face-to-face learning. I still prefer face-to-face because I can be sure that I am learning and making progress in my education.
